Recovery Food

Yesterday, my brother and I ran the Rock & Roll Half Marathon in Dallas. It was such a great race. The course was beautiful and the weather was just perfect... Well, it was cold, but neither my brother nor I could feel it. After a race, my body is always so tired and if you can believe it, I can never eat right after I run that intensely. Around 7:00 I started getting really hungry, so I popped over to Whole Foods (of course) and bought a whole wheat, pesto pizza with mozzarella, goat cheese and tomatoes. It was wonderful. One of the best pizzas I've ever had.

My favorite food of the moment: pizza. It might be the perfect meal. Another great recovery food that I had for breakfast this morning: english muffin with peanut butter, banana and honey.
